Do you check your phone first thing in the morning or find yourself scrolling before bed?

I used to too, sometimes I still do. But I’m making an effort to more intentional with how I start and end my days.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Something that has helped me in the mornings is having a morning routine. For me that looks like taking a few deep breaths of fresh air, light stretching, meditating, journaling, and enjoying coffee BEFORE getting on my phone. It helps me feel grounded before “starting” the day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At night, I’ve been setting and phone away time. So at 6pm every night I’ve been putting my phone in the other room. I can still hear it if it rings but this has helped stop the urge to just pick it up and scroll.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also try to do a no phone or screen time an hour before bed. This helps my brain shut down for the day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just wanted to share some ideas with you for setting up intentional habits and routines with your phone. Take what works for you or do something completely different. The goal is not perfection or ridged but just being more aware of your time and how you spend it and then making small shifts.
